Which parking floor tiles are best for a terrace in India?

For Indian terraces, vitrified or anti-skid ceramic parking tiles of 20mm thickness or more are ideal. They withstand heavy load, extreme heat, monsoon rain, and daily wear. Look for tiles with a high PEI rating (4 or 5) and a slip-resistance rating of R11 or above for safe outdoor use.

Are parking floor tiles on a terrace safe during monsoon and rain?

Yes, provided you choose anti-skid parking tiles with a textured or grooved surface. These tiles are specially designed to prevent water accumulation and reduce slipping risk. Ensure proper slope and drainage during installation so rainwater drains away quickly and tiles remain safe to walk or drive on.

How do I maintain parking floor tiles on my terrace?

Terrace parking tiles are low-maintenance. Sweep or blow away dust and debris regularly. Mop with a mild detergent and water weekly. For oil or tyre marks, use a degreaser solution. Avoid harsh acidic cleaners as they can damage the tile surface. Re-grouting every few years keeps the surface looking fresh and prevents water seepage.
