Are grey floor tiles suitable for outdoor terraces in India?

Yes, grey floor tiles are an excellent choice for Indian terraces. They are available in anti-skid and weather-resistant variants that can withstand heavy rain, harsh sunlight, and temperature changes common across India. Look for vitrified or porcelain grey tiles with a textured surface for best outdoor performance.

What size of grey floor tiles is best for a terrace?

For terraces, larger grey floor tile sizes like 600x600mm or 800x800mm are popular as they make the space look bigger and reduce grout lines. However, for smaller terraces or areas with slopes for water drainage, 300x300mm or 400x400mm anti-skid tiles work better and are easier to install with proper gradient.

How do I maintain grey floor tiles on my terrace?

Grey terrace tiles are low maintenance. Sweep regularly to remove dust and debris. Mop with a mild floor cleaner and water once a week. Avoid harsh acids or strong chemicals. For stubborn stains from monsoon algae or moss, use a diluted phenyl solution or a pressure washer. Sealing the grout lines annually helps prevent moisture seepage and keeps the terrace looking fresh.
