Are concrete look tiles suitable for outdoor terraces in India?

Yes, concrete look tiles are an excellent choice for Indian terraces. They are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions including heavy monsoon rains, intense summer heat, and humidity. Look for tiles with a anti-skid surface and low water absorption rating (below 3%) to ensure safety and long-lasting durability on your terrace.

What size of concrete look tiles works best for a terrace?

For terraces, larger format concrete look tiles such as 600x600mm or 800x800mm are most popular among Indian homeowners as they create a seamless, expansive look with fewer grout lines. However, if your terrace has slopes or drainage channels, medium sizes like 400x400mm can be easier to install with proper gradient alignment.

How do I maintain concrete look tiles on my terrace?

Concrete look tiles on a terrace are very low maintenance. Simply sweep away dust and debris regularly and mop with a mild detergent and water once a week. Avoid harsh acidic cleaners as they can dull the surface finish. Sealing the grout lines once a year is recommended in Indian climates to prevent moss or algae growth during the monsoon season.
